I can’t say I’m much for clothes. I’m a sucker for fancy dress up clothes, but I can throw a tshirt and jeans on everyday and not care. I tend to wear things until they’re totally holey (much to DMH’s disgust), and then I frugally go shopping at op shops.
That being said, I was curious to see whether any of the things in my drawer met the requirements for a French Woman’s wardrobe, keeping in mind it’s for women.

Tops | Keep it simple up top
– Black, grey, and white t-shirt – tick! I’ve got these, although the grey one is stripy.
– Black, grey, and white tank – tick, with the caveat that the black is stripy and they’re singlets.
– Silk shirt/blouse – I guess this is a dress shirt? I’ve got a couple of those.
– Black dress – do I ever! 😉
– Blazer – yep, and I’m wearing it right now. Adds a bit of formality to every outfit.
– Simple cashmere sweater – not exactly sure what cashmere is, but I do have some jumpers?
Trousers & Skirts | Everyday basics
– Black trousers – doesn’t everyone have a pair?
– Skinny jeans – ditto, but I don’t actually wear them.
– Boyfriend jeans – totally!
– Leather trousers – no, no and no. I don’t own any and I don’t think I want to.
– Black pencil skirt – what self respecting person doesn’t own one? 😉
Jackets | Leather & neutrals
– Leather jacket – I wish. It’s on my shopping list. Does a biker jacket count?
– Trench coat – tick, but it’s scratchy and I want a new one.
– Winter coat – tick, but again I need a new one.
– A complete black suit – I’m not sure. Maybe?
Shoes | Make it an investment
– Black stilettos
– Mid-heeled ankle boots
– Flats
– Summer sandals
– Sneakers
I don’t think I have anything that fits here. I have work shoes.
Accessories | Opt for timeless and low key
– Gold or silver watch – I have three in silver
– Neutral leather bag – No
– Clutch – No
